241 Sri Lankans returns to Sri Lanka by second Turkish Airlines repatriation flight from Istanbul

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Turkey in coordination with the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sri Lanka Missions in Russia, and Iran & Consulate General Office in Cyprus repatriated 241 Sri Lankans through a Turkish Airlines special flight on 05 th October 2020. Upon request of the Mission, the special flight was arranged by the Turkish Airline’s CEO Mr. Bilal Minus. Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen paid his gratitude to the CEO of the Turkish Airlines, Mr. Bilal Eksi and his staff for the support rendered to the Mission and arrangements made for the special flight.

241 Sri Lankans repatriated were from Turkey (20), Georgia (03), Russia (152), Belarus (15), Azerbaijan (26), and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (15), Kazakhstan (07), Kyrgyzstan (01) , Uzbekistan (01) & Poland (01). This is the second repatriation flight arranged by the Embassy within 02 months’ time.
