70th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Independence was celebrated in Ankara

Diplomatic reception in connection with the 70th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Independence was held on 6th February in Hilton Ankara. H.E. Orhan Erdem, Deputy Minister of National Education graced the occasion as the chief guest.
A photography exhibition, Sri Lanka food and tea promotion were part of the celebrations. Mrs. Nazli Akcura, the author of ’’Sri Lanka’yi kesfedin’’ (Discover Sri Lanka) the first ever tourism promotional book written in Turkish was honored at the reception.
