The Mission celebrated the Christmas and New Year with the children at the “Autism Foundation School” in Incek, Ankara on 29.12.2021.

Ambassador M. Rizvi Hassen together with the family and the Embassy staff visited Autism Foundation School, which is Foundation special education center that offers not only education but also extra-curricular activities such as sports, vocational training which brighten the life of special need children.

 

Speaking during the brief interactions with the children, parents and school management, Ambassador Rizvi Hassen thanked the School Management for the time allocated for the Mission to spend time with the Children and witness their performances. Further, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings for the New Year and thanked everyone who joined the event.

 

Mr. Aydin Cayan, the Chairman of the Autism Foundation underlined the importance of raising awareness of autism and thanked the Ambassador and the Embassy staff for choosing them to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

During the event the Embassy staff along with the Sri Lankans living in Ankara joined the children by singing Christmas Carol and entertained the gathering.

 

Afterwards, children performed music and sports performances and the gathering were impressed with their performances.

The Mission with the contributions of the Mission staff and the Sri Lankans living in Ankara handover gifts to the children. The gathering enjoyed with the Sri Lankan delicacies and the Pure Ceylon Tea.
