The Embassy for the first time participated at the 10th edition of Adana Orange Blossom festival organized by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality from 25th to 27th March 2022 in the city of Adana. The Embassy had the opportunity to showcase Sri Lanka’s pride during the three days festival. This is an annual festival organized by the city of Adana and attracted thousands of Turks and foreign visitors to the event.

Sri Lanka during the three days evet attracted the visitors with the exclusive Sri Lankan Spices, handicrafts, batiks, coconut related products and also finest Ceylon teas. The visitors enjoyed with the finest Ceylon teas and Sri Lankan traditional batik sarees.

Pakistan, Philippines, Latvia, Hungary, Malaysia, Vietnam, Ukraine along with local business entities had their stands at the event.

This edition of the fair were attended by 1 million visitors and many entertainment activities including musical shows, games, parade were included during the festival.

Ambassador Rizvi Hassen graced the Sri Lanka stand on the opening day along with the Mayor of Hon. Zeydan Karalar and the other distinguished invitees.

Adana is the main city in southern Turkey with the population of 3 million and one of the important provinces in terms of Sri Lanka’s main exports to Turkey.
