Sri Lanka - Turkey renewed   Bilateral Cooperation on the Sidelines of the Grand Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN in Manila, the Philippines

Turkey and Sri Lanka agreed on (Saturday 04 August) to strengthen bilateral relations including intensifying cooperation in the spenders of economic, trade, tourism, education and enduring people to people contacts.

This follows discussions in Manila Hon. Vasantha  Senanayake, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka had with H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu’s, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. State Minister Senanayake is currently in the Philippines to attend the Grand Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN and represent Sri Lanka at the ASEAN Regional Forum.  He is joined by Hon. Buddhika Pathirana MP, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Philippines  Mrs. Aruni Ranaraja, Director General of East Asia and the Pacific   Mr. O.L. Ameer Ajwad and Mrs. Sewwandi de Silva, Second Secretary, Embassy of     Sri Lanka, Manila.
