The Embassy linked Adana based two Trade Chamber with the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, with an aim of promoting trade potentials between Sri Lanka and Adana couple of months ago and as the second stage of the interactions a networking session and business matchmaking session organized on 29th June 2021 with the presence of the top management of the three trade chambers.

During the session Ambassador M.R. Hassen highlighted the importance of arranging regular interactions between Sri Lankan and Turkish trade Chamber to explore more potentials between two countries. Further, Ambassador thanked the two trade chambers to show interest to connect with each other to organize this event and also to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding for further collaborations.

During the session the Mr. Nandika Buddhipala, President of the National Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Atila Menevşe, President of Adana Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Bülent Başer, Vice President of Adana Chamber of Industry made brief remarks emphasizing the importance of close interactions between Trade Chambers and also indicated the available potentials and strengths in both countries.

Ambassador Ms.Demet Sekercioglu, Ambassador of Turkey to Sri Lanka also addressed the gathering during the short virtual meeting by congratulating the Trade Chambers for this interaction.

President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lankan and the Deputy President of the Adana Chamber of Commerce signed the Memorandum of Understanding between two Trade Chambers virtually for further collaborations. The event was subsequently followed by business matchmaking session for 32 Sri Lankan and Turkish companies covering potential sector.
