The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ankara officially commenced work for the year 2026 on 2 January 2026.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. This was followed by the taking of the Oath of Public Service, reaffirming the commitment of all officers and staff to uphold integrity, professionalism, and dedicated public service. Two minutes of silence were also observed in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.

The programme concluded with an address by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Türkiye who emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and dedication in advancing the interests of Sri Lanka.
